The gold and arsenopyrite specimens from the Oriental Gold Mine in the Allegheny District of California are some exceptional gold specimens and create a beautiful contrast between the Brilliant crystallized yellow gold, white quartz, and black arsenopyrite. These were part of the owner Dolald Dickey's private collection and he preserved what he thought was special from the mine and melted the rest. The mine has long been closed and these are what remains from the location.
