You just don't see gold specimens from this location and mostly what has been found at the Fire Creek Gold Mine is low grade ore. There were a few pockets of notable discovery and some fantastic dendritic gold, but everything that was found could be fit into a couple shoe boxes - this location is very very rare. This is the larger of two pieces I have on consignment and is quite a piece with the very asthetic dendritic gold growing out of the brilliant white quartz, all atop a dark grey shale rock matrix. This piece is a brilliant example of what came from the mine.
