Belshazzar Mine - Boise County, Idaho - Wire Gold Cluster

One of about six gold specimens I have from this location. This is a very intricate cluster of wire gold with a piece of quartz still attached to show how the crystal grew from the wall of the pocket. The Belshazzar Mine in Boise County, Idaho produced some fantastic wire gold specimens, but with infrequency and these are considered very rare. The mine is now closed with no plans to reopen.
