Enchanting crystalline leaf gold in quartz specimen for the Harvard Open Pit Mine. This specimen, along with others we've collected from this mine, were found by a good friend of mine who was given access to mine the walls of the open pit mine with a gold detector. He did so in a canoe as the mine was naturally filling with water. The mine is now closed and is completely full of water, making this wonderful little specimen even more rare and special. It is on the smaller side at 3/4" tall and the weight of the entire specimen (quartz and gold) is 1.99 grams (30.7 grains). This would make an outstanding gift or your chance to add a special piece to your collection.
