One of the most famous California Gold Mines had to be Eagles Nest mine in Placer County, California. Eagles nest gold has a unique crystallization and a very pure gold color of buttery yellow gold. This specimen does not deviate from that tradition and has some wonderful crystallization with a rich gold color. A small amount of quartz is still attached showing how the crystal grew on the wall of the pocket.
