The photos say it all with this one. A brilliant dendritic formation and a perfectly shaped feather. This is one of the more unique gold specimens from the Round Mountain mine in Nye County, Nevada. The mine was purchased by Kinross Gold Corp in 2016 and they elected to shut down their "special gold" program, as it was very expensive to staff geologists and expert excavators to preserve the gold. They now melt and crush all the gold at the mine.
