A very intricate piece - a modified star shape with several hoppered trigon gold crystals and a band of defined gold crystals that protrude and swath through the middle. The backside shows how the crystal grew on the side of a pocket wall with a flat surface and a zigzag pattern with a few defined gold chevron and trigon gold crystals. A brilliant piece of gold from Papua New Guinea. This specimen is a darker copper gold color which makes it a bit more unusual.
