A magnificent gold specimen especially when examined up close and you realize the rarity of the combination of leaf gold and trigon crystals. Its a mass of clustered leaf gold covered in sharp trigon crystals. Often I see leaf gold or trigon crystals on different gold specimens, but seldom do I ever see the two combined together with the entire surface covered in trigon gold crystals - just amazing and brilliant. Round Mountain gold is some of my favorite gold as it continues to amaze me with it's unusual and magnificent forms. It's heartbreaking to know that most of the gold from the mine is melted down into bullion.
