Probably the most iconic and famous specimen gold mine in California is the Eagles Nest in Placer County, California. The mine produced many world class gold specimens during its time in operation. This is a wonderful example with the gold being a bright yellow gold and the gold branches up and out forming waves and intricate sections of crystalized gold. Most notable is the tremendous shine of the gold and the luster is like none other in the world. The piece is a heavy at almost 3 troy ounces and it contains about 2.5 Troy ounces of gold as gold is nine times heavier than quartz. I photographed it from multiple angles to give you an idea of the complexity and shape of the specimen. The price is a steal for this large Eagles Nest.
Please Note: We cannot accept a credit card for this specimen and funds must be through a cashier's check or bank wire transfer. Please email us at email@example.com or call Mike at 970-219-8006.
