Eagles Nest Gold Mine California - Brilliant Gold Nugget Crystal

One of two gold specimens that I recently acquired. A simply magnificent piece of natural gold from the Eagles Nest Gold Mine in Placer County, California. Both sides of this gold nugget are amazing with one side being sharp octahedron and trigon gold crystals and the other side having a very intricate wavy herringbone formation. The Eagles Nest Mine is one of California's most famous gold mines and many remarkable gold specimens were recovered there during it's time.
