An outstanding gold crystal from Serra do Caldeirão claims, Pontes e Lacerda, Alto Guaporé District, Mato Grosso, Brazil. Simply one of the finest hoppered gold crystal I've ever seen. A deep and very pure gold color and the gold purity is 99% with 0.5% Rhodium. The crystallization is very faceted with a large hoppered chevron jetting from the top. This is one from a handful I recently acquired from a family in Brazil who was associated with the mining claim. The location is now shut off by the Brazilian government and it is uncertain if there will be any more from this location.
