A very intricate gold specimen that could only be from Mt. Kare, Papua New Guinea. Half of the specimen is a crystalized leaf gold with wavy hoppered lines on the surface. The leaf gold transforms into a fantastic array of sharp and faceted octahedron and trigon gold crystals creating a maze of crystals that extend out the top creating a branch. A magnificent piece of gold from the historic gold rush that swept over Mt. Kare from 1988 to 1994.
