A very large and sturdy leaf gold specimen from the historic gold rush of Mt. Kare, Papua New Guinea. A brilliant crystallized surface and one of my larger pieces. Mt. Kare gold is now very rare and there isn't much on the market these days. Most of what was recovered was melted down into bullion. There is no more from this location.
Weight: 3.19 grams (49.26 grains)
Dimensions: 1-1/2" by 3/4 or 37mm by 18mm
