One of my larger gold specimens from the historic gold rush that swept Mt. Kare from 1988 to 1994. During that time, over 10,000 locals flocked to the area to claim their fortunes. It was a modern day phenomenon in the gold world and lasted for six years. There is no more gold coming from this location.
