An oblong leaf gold with a twist and some crystallization at the point. This is a piece I acquired along with a handful of others from a collector who is native to the Papua New Guinea region. The gold rush that swept Mt. Kare lasted for six years from 1988 to 1994. There is no more that comes from this location and there is very little in the open market. What remains is held tightly in the hands of collectors. I was fortunate enough to pursued this collector to sell these pieces to me and I feel fortunate to be able to offer them on the website.
Weight: 1.63 grams (25.20 grains)
Dimensions: 11/16" or 17mm
