A brilliant color and clever shape on this crystalline gold specimen from the historic and rare location of Mt. Kare, Papua New Guinea. The gold from Mt. Kare is considered very rare these days and the gold rush only lasted six years from 1988 to 1994. During that time, nearly 10,000 people flocked to the mountain to claim their fortune. There is no more gold coming from Mt. Kare.
