A "wow" from the Mt. Kare, Papua New guinea gold rush. A spinel twin gold crystal with two long and extended branches. Tons of character on this rare piece of gold. The gold rush at Mt. Kare lasted for approximately six years (1988-1994) and nearly a million ounces were recovered by nearly 10,000 native prospectors who flocked to the mountain when word spread there was gold.
