A very dense base of sharp octahedron and trigon gold crystals that evolve into a wire gold formation that extends and bends at the top of the specimen. Magnificent clarity and precision on this little guy from the Fire Creek Mine in Lander County, Nevada. The mine has been in operation off and on since 1979 but most of the gold was melted into bullion. The recent operators of the mine have realized the uniqueness and rarity of these specimens and preserved them. This one is from a small handful I was able to source from the mine.
