The Fire Creek Mine in North Central Nevada has started producing again and there's been some fantastic discoveries found recently. The mine was initially discovered in 1979 and has been mined off and on by several large gold mining operations, although the majority of the gold that was discovered was all melted down into billion. A recent new company has taken over the mine and they have started preserving the special specimen gold that grows in pockets in the mine. This natural gold piece is one of a handful I recently acquired from the mine. The definition and clarity defies words and these gold crystals are some of the most amazing specimens I've seen from Nevada. Sharp crystal formations with intricate dendritic patterns and fine wires.
