The majority of fine gold crystals come from a few locations around the world. The Eagles Nest Mine is certainly one of the best and has a long history of producing museum grade gold specimens. This piece is brilliant with long branching gold crystals that sprout up and twist from the base. The lower third of the specimen (the base), as well as the other side of the piece, have large areas of striated gold. This is a very intricate and wonderful piece of California Gold.
