Washington State is not a big gold producer, but there is the well know Liberty Mine located on the east side of the Cascade Mountain Range. We come across some gold from time to time from this location, but we never see gold crystals like this. This one has an amazingly defined dendritic pattern on both sides with nice and long striations. It's thicker than plate gold and a sturdy specimen that you can hold and admire without it being fragile. Truly a brilliant and rare piece of gold.
