Chunky Crystalline Gold Nugget Specimen - Eagles Nest Gold Mine

A sharp crystalline gold specimen from a well known locale. The Eagles Nest Mine is one of California's most famous gold specimen mines and produced many world class gold specimens during its time in operation. The mine is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains west of Lake Tahoe in Placer County. The mine has been closed for many years but was recently purchased and may reopen once again.
