Its rare for me to see crystalized quartz and gold on the same specimen and the best examples of this rare phenomenon come from Round Mountain in Nevada. This is a beautiful museum quality example and the leaf gold terminates into very faceted octahedron clusters at the top of the specimen. The gold stands high and branched off the crystalized quartz like a flag waving in the wind. A beautiful aesthetic form with a rounded quartz matrix. To better preserve and display this gold specimen, it has been attached to a plexiglass display stand. If the owner would like this removed, I am happy to do that at their request.
